The Cool Thermometer LM35 with LCD Screen!

The ordinary yet old-fashioned thermometer is not your favorite, and you’re looking for a new type of digital thermometer? In this case, the cool thermometer LM35 would be your perfect choice!

The LM35 is a precision integrated circuit temperature sensor, where its output voltage is linearly proportional to the Celsius degrees temperature.

Why should you use LM35, as there are many other LMs? Well, it’s because the LM35 doesn’t require any external calibration or trimming to provide typical accuracies of ±0.25ºC at room temperature. It has a wide temperature range of -55ºC to +150ºC, which the old-fashioned thermometers cannot even compare with it!

Here are the other features of LM35 that make it even more unique from others:

  • The low output impedance,

  • The strong linear output,

  • The precise inherent calibration.

All of the above unique features make the interfacing to readout or control circuitry becoming easy! Well, you can use it with single power supplies, or with plus and minus supplies.

The significant point about LM35 is it has super low self-heating, which is less than 0.1 ºC in still air.

By the way, the output voltage of the LM35 thermometer is 10mV/ ºC. You have to use an AD converter to convert the output voltage! []
