New Eagle3D released

Matthias has released a new Eagle3D version with minor updates. It is available to download from BerliOS.

Probably the biggest change in it that POVRay can be called directly from Eagle3D. The change isn’t big to call it a major release, but the main thing is good to know that the Eagle3D project isn’t dead. There is another interesting effort in creating 3D layouts for the eagle. It uses Google SketchUp to generate board layouts. The project is called Eagleup and struggles with a few problems where the main of them is lack of parts. Anyway, you can give it a try with the demo layout. Generating with Sketchup would be a real kick as it would allow us to preview the system from any angle and draw enclosure for it directly on it.
