For the geeky party people who likes to do the groove while on the run this project is for you guys. This project doesn’t actually have a microcontroller in it but it freakin rocks so we wrote about it!
This project taps into any audio output, amplifies the audio signal then use the amplified signal to drive an array of LEDs – simply neat, simply geeky and freakily amazing when the LEDs light, blink and pumps along with the beat of the music. The circuit is simple; just tap from an audio source/amplifier using a general purpose NPN transistor for isolation and signal amplification, to protect the LEDs from burning out an LM340 voltage regulator is used and to control light intensity 150 Ohm variable resistors are utilized.
“When the music plays – let the dancing begin!”
