There are a number of sources of fuel available for various cars. But most of the available forms of fuel are either non-replenish able or is available only to a small extent. Man has been dependent on fossil fuels to a great extent for powering cars and various types of automobiles. This has lead to a situation where the fossil fuel deposits may not last for many years and that the available fossil fuel might be consumed in a few decades of time. All these lead to searching of new fuels or those that are available in plenty.
Evolution of new sources of energy
All these lead to the development of various other means of fuelling cars and automobiles. Some of the non conventional fuels that were developed in the recent times include hydrogen gas powered vehicles, solar powered vehicles, compressed air powered vehicles, hydro powered vehicles and the list keeps on extending every day. One of the latest additions to this list of non conventional source of energy to fuel cars and other automobiles is the biofuel. Biofuels are those that are extracted from various wastes from factories and they belong to non fossil fuel type.
Scientists and other experts in the field of cars and automobiles have put their heads together and have successfully developed this new non conventional fuel- the biofuel. The biofuel vehicles are powered by biofuel that are obtained from wastes in chocolate factories and partly makes use of the plant fibers. These biofuel cars are powered by vegetable oils that are obtained from various vegetables and wastes and waste from chocolate factories. The most amazing thing about the car is that it is completely made of plant fibers and other eco-friendly materials unlike the normal cars that are made of different materials.

The important features of this car include the steering wheel of the car which is made completely out of plant based fibers obtained from carrots and other root vegetables. The seat of this car is built of flax fiber and foam obtained from soybean oil. Also the entire body of the car is made of plant based fiber. Scientists of Warwick University believe that this car is the fastest car to be powered by biofuel and to be made of biodegradable plant based fiber materials. The designer of the car believes that the car can reach speeds of even over 145 mph when the car is being tested on race tracks in a few weeks time. They also believe that the car gives a fair amount of knowledge and ideas about how to build more eco-friendly vehicles.
The amazing feature of this car is that the car has been designed and built according to the formula 3 specifications considering the car’s height, weight and its performance characteristics. The car has been driven at 60 mph and tested for various attributes and at present minor changes and adjustments are being made to the engine before driving the car at its top speed of 145 mph. The car has been a source of inspiration for a lot of scientists who aspire to design a fast and efficient eco-friendly car.
