Can you ever imagine, how heavy of the world’s most powerful magnet can be? Well, believe it or not, this electromagnet is weighing almost 18,000 pounds and it’s fully powered by jolts from a massive 1,200-megajoules motor generator. Once it has been activated, the new magnet would be about two million times more powerful than the average refrigerator magnet! Basically, the electromagnet can be divided into two main parts. The outer part is the cylinder with 1.5 meters in diameter and 1.5 meters tall. It’s very solid except for a small hole, which is less than 8 inches wide that bored through the middle of magnet. The nine coils, which is made of copper and have been strengthened with silver wire lay inside the hole. As a result, the copper and silver will create the strongest and powerful material known of all! Technically, these 6D holograms is a small, 7 x 7 pixels display, and it will respond to changes in light and the viewer’s direction as well! Since it’s still in the early development phase, the researchers expected that in the next two to three years, they could be scaled it up and create some of the most fascinating images! Ramesh Raskar, one of the scientists and researchers at MIT who helped in the development of this project, said that they are the first researcher group that able to build a display that changes with lighting and in the most realistic display.

Although this is really a shocking and advanced breakthrough in the metamaterials field, however it still has two severe limitations. The main goal for this design is to develop a “green” 3D printer in less than 4 weeks with only limited budget. A group of creative students practicing the “3R” concept and had applied it into the new 3D printers design. Below here are some of the unique and eco-friendly 3D printer’s prototypes: Stack The students have cleverly used the waste paper from generated by a bank and a â€˜steampunk’ sewing machine. They used the smart concept to create layered forms, which based on an interpretation of the banks statistical data. This design is simply the finest combination of the past and present (Brilliant idea!).
